New mission, new logo. Over the past year my vision for my business has changed with my perspective and spiritual growth. The Lord kept putting the same verse in my path. That verse was:
"Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves," Phillipians 2:3
Every time that I thought I was starting to grasp the verse and obey it, God would put it in my path again. This happened at least five times, maybe more. First, I understood the verse at a surface level. My values began to shift. I stopped worrying so much about my appearance, physically and socially. I thought I had it. God would show me the verse again. Then I learned to rest a little bit more, pray a little more, and trust God to do more of the heavy lifting. God would show me the verse again. Why am I striving to make something of myself when God's word says that, in humility, I should value others above myself? Big gulp. That was me swallowing my PRIDE, what little I could choke down. The Holy Spirit revealed to me that I needed to put down my measuring stick. "Stop trying to measure up. You don't have to measure up. I love you and accept you. Just as you are. Come to me, and I will give you rest."
I'm still working on this one. I'm comforted that God rebukes those He loves. As my wonderful friend, Tasha, says He's even a gentleman about it. He was peeling away one layer of sin at a time, in a timeline that was merciful. I thought I finally had it all figured out. Then God showed me the verse again. Finally, He helped me come to the conclusion that I'm not the Choices Coach. God is.
Who better to help us in every area of our lives, including fitness/wellness, than God?
