With Thanksgiving coming up next week, it is a great reminder to be grateful! It is always God's will for us to be grateful, no matter what our circumstances might be.
"Be thankful in all circumstances, for this is God's will for you who belong to Christ Jesus." 1 Thessalonians 5:18 NLT
With that in mind, I have come up with 10 steps to help us shift our mindset from attitude to gratitude. Listen as I discuss the steps in this Faith Training video:

Focus on who God is, instead of who you’re not. By focusing on the names and attributes of God, it reminds us that He is in control. He is our Provider, Defender, and Healer. We don't bear the burdens of life alone, and we don't have to do His job.
Take it one day at a time. "Give us this day our daily bread," Matthew 6:11 ESV
Don’t forget yesterday’s blessings that you have already consumed. Remember God’s faithfulness in the past.
Start a gratitude journal and write down what you are thankful for. There is always something to be grateful for, and it is always God’s will that we are thankful. (1 Thessalonians 5:18)
Resist self-pity and self absorption. Pray for someone else who is perhaps going through a greater struggle, and regain your perspective.
Stay in the Word and stand on His promises. Meditate on the scriptures. Soak them in so that faith is in your thoughts. Before you know it, you will be speaking God’s promises instead of complaints.
Remember that you will not be in the wilderness forever. Draw closer to God, and He will draw close to you. (James 4:8)
I keep a copy of this list of 10 steps in my gratitude journal. It helps me to focus when I am feeling less than grateful. I hope it helps you too.
Also this week, I posted a new final stretch video to "Peace Be Still" by The Belonging Co. featuring Lauren Daigle. You know I do love Lauren Daigle! This song has a special significance to me. For me, it signifies a miracle that happened when God delivered me out of a years-long battle with panic attacks. God is so good!
This is a deep stretch routine to hit all the muscles. I have included special attention to the hips, quads, and hamstrings. I covered stretches for the psoas and the QL (quadratus lumborum). When these two muscles are tight it can cause pain and inflammation in the lower back, hips, and knees. Stretching can significantly improve posture and reduce stress to the joints. Stretching also helps reduce muscle soreness. Lengthened muscles are able to produce optimized force, enhancing workout and sports performance. Always take the time to stretch!
