No More Petty Drama

May 27, 2017

Over the past several months, I decided to take a different approach to my business. I have been focused on mind body exercise and nutrition over the past two to three years. Recently this past November, I felt led to incorporate my Christian faith into my workout videos in the form of Devotional Yoga. Since then I have felt led to post some dance videos and vlogs. You may view my videos and subscribe to my YouTube Channel at https://www.youtube.com/choicescoach. I will also be posting some new workouts over the next few weeks. I can assure you that I won't be posting anything political or exclusionary. I believe that when Jesus said to "Love thy neighbor as thyself" that it meant everyone without exceptions (Matthew 22:39). I believe that "we all fall short of the glory of God," so no one is superior (Romans 3:23). I believe that when Jesus died for us that he died for ALL of us, and that any type of discrimination goes directly against God's greatest commands (Matthew 22:37-40).

My vision is to combine all my passions to live a more abundant, balanced life that encourages others to do the same. My hope is that we might all achieve healthier lives in mind, body, and spirit.

Three weeks ago I was inspired to write this poem:

When I woke up to the real sorrow

that surrounds me,

I developed a zero tolerance policy

for the petty drama that used to drown me.

At the time that I wrote this I just thought it was a catchy meme, because I had no idea what was about to unfold over the next several weeks. After praying for God to open my eyes to the sorrow that surrounds me, HE OPENED MY EYES. I wish we lived in a world without sorrow, but we most certainly do not. At the time that I shot my vlog on this subject I had over 30 prayer requests of family members, friends, and church family. I now have over 50. I must tell you these are not fluffy wishes or complaints. They are all serious, dire, heavy issues. I believe in the power of prayer, because I have seen in it up close and personal in action. I cannot say that God always says yes, but he is always listening. Thank the Lord for that!

I can no longer get upset over petty things that don't matter. Life is too short, and there are far more important issues at hand. Hence, no more drama!
